COVID-19 BAY AREA RESOURCES The COVID-19 epidemic has proven to be a time of much stress and uncertainty for many in our communities. As of now, six Bay Area counties have ordered its residents to “shelter-in-place”, or stay in doors unless for essential reasons. This order has resulted in thousands of students having to leave school, workers without jobs and a decrease in vital resources from libraries to legal help. Clinica Martin-Baro has made the difficult but necessary choice to close it’s space during this period. Despite this, we are still here to serve the community. Patients call still call us to refill their prescriptions and ask for support. To hopefully alleviate some of the uncertainty now, we are linking an incredible document crafted by the Freedom Community Clinic that includes resources in the Bay Area offering shelter, meals for children, mental health services and much more. Our hearts are with you in this intense time. We have hope in our hearts that we will overcome this as a community, because the people in our communities have survived countless obstacles before by coming together in solidarity.
